Thanks to those who donated to help save lives!!!

Let's talk about Malaria
Malaria Kills 2 Million People Each Year

* Malaria infects between 300 and 500 million people every year.

* About 2 million of the infected die each year.

* 75% of those who die are African children.

* In Sub-Saharan Africa—where I live—malaria causes about 2700 deaths per day,
or 2 deaths per minute.

* At the present time, malaria kills about twice as many people as does AIDS.

* Malaria in pregnancy can lead to premature delivery, miscarriage or stillbirth.

* Malaria is passed only by mosquitoes infected with the malaria parasite.

* Use of insecticide-treated mosquito nets reduces the rate of deaths from malaria.

For my Eagle Scout project I’ll provide
insecticide-treated mosquito nets
for children under five years of age and pregnant women who live in a village named Teshie in Ghana, West Africa
