Signs of Hope International

Last Summer we briefly met Erin Staffanson who was a volunteer teacher at a school for the deaf in Ghana. She determined to make a difference in the lives of the students she worked with here. She returned to the States and founded a charitable organization. This past summer, Signs of Hope successfully sent the first group of volunteers to continue the work she started. The volunteers are from Utah Valley or have connections there. Their story is best told on the Signs of Hope International web site . On their last day at the schools, the students presented an African dress to each volunteer. The students bought the material and had the dresses made as a surprise for their beloved teachers. The volunteers choose to wear these clothes for the trip home.
