While Ben and Julie (Papa and Dewey) served an LDS mission , this site helped keep family and friends updated on their activities with pictures and text. You may contact them using links below.
Ben and Julie saw an opportunities to improve education in rural Ghanaian schools by making school fun for the kids, giving the teachers some visual aids, and lighting the classromms. Those needs led to the idea of a playground that could generate electricity from children at play. Empower Playgrounds, Inc. is a non-profit company working to make that dream a reality.

One additional purpose of this web site is to create a place where Julie can post her genealogy research. She has worked for many years on the line of her great-grandmother, Martha Telle Cannon . In doing this, she has also researched many collateral families. She has found and written histories on some of these people. Click the Genealogy button above to view her work.
